Isla Valdecañas, with an area of 133 acres, is located in the Valdecañas reservoir (7,000 acres of water) in the northeast of the Cáceres province.   It is considered a complex in the vanguard of modern and coherent tourism because of its integration with the nature, respect for the environment and sustainability criteria and the high quality level of its infrastructure and leisure facilities.   Isla Valdecañas is a unique complex in Europe and the largest of Extremadura.   The complex consists of a housing project of 300 villas, two hotels, 4 and 5-star, a golf course of 18 holes, a sports complex, a marina, a pool area and an artificial beach.   The Cáceres Deputation and Extremadura Board have supported this project from its inception until today, which is now a reality.

A unique golf course in Europe   Designed by Alvaro Arana and Global Green, the 18 holes around the island and open to the reservoir with wide fairways gently undulating.   The golf course offers not only breathtaking views of the Valdecañas reservoir, but also the Sierra de Guadalupe and Sierra de Gredos.   The course stands out for its contours, wide and gently undulating fairways and the movement of its greens. Their holes, varied designs, provide players of all levels of fun and an unforgettable experience.   The practice area, next to the clubhouse, allows the game to be improved thanks to the practice tees made of natural grass and synthetic mats (capacity of 40 seats), a putting green, chipping green and two bunkers.
