Empordà Golf Resort – Links Course

The Links Course at Empordà Golf Resort is the original and most celebrated of the two layouts at this exceptional Catalan resort near Girona. Designed by Fred W. Hawtree and opened in 1989, it stretches across open lowland terrain near the Baix Empordà wetlands, exposed to the Tramuntana winds that blow in from the Pyrenees. Its links-inspired character — firm, fast fairways, natural rough areas and receptive greens — creates a uniquely challenging experience in a region more associated with Mediterranean coastline than links-style golf.
