Meloneras Golf by Lopesan, is a challenging 18 hole championship golf course set on the beautiful south coast of Gran Canaria, Spain.
Lopesan Meloneras Golf combines views of the lovely Canarian mountains with coastal golf at its best, using the stunning Atlantic Ocean and the rocky coastline as its backdrop. Start your round with a front nine lined with hundreds of palm trees, shadowed by the volcanic mountains at the center of the island. Make the turn to discover a back nine bordering the ocean, providing more than a few quality picture moments.
Designed by Ron Kirby and opened in June of 2006, Lopesan Meloneras Golf was the 6th golf course to open its doors in Gran Canaria and the first for the Lopesan Hotel Group. The course hosted the 2007 Spanish PGA Championship with great success, showcasing its natural beauty and difficult design to top spanish professionals including Rafa Cabrera Bello and Alvaro Quiros. In 2021 hosted the Gran Canaria Lopesan Open part of the European Tour, with some of the best players of the world, where Garrick Higgo won the event with an aggregate score of 255.
