Quinta do Lago – North Course

Quinta do Lago North is a course of exceptional character, the product of two distinguished architects working in the same superlative landscape. The American William Mitchell designed the opening five and closing four holes in 1974, establishing the sandy, umbrella-pine-lined terrain for which Quinta do Lago is renowned. The spring rough — a blanket of wild flowers, heather, and gorse — provides seasonal beauty of a kind rarely encountered in resort golf. Fairways and tees are covered in hybrid Bermudagrass with a cool-season mixture for year-round quality; the greens are sown with Creeping Bentgrass Penncross, producing a fast, true putting surface throughout the year.
