About Whistling Straits – Irish Course
The Irish Course at Whistling Straits is the second Pete Dye championship layout on the shores of Lake Michigan in Kohler, Wisconsin. Opened in 2000, the course offers a different experience from the famous Straits Course — slightly more inland and forgiving, with rolling fairways, natural meadow areas, and still blessed with stretches of Lake Michigan shoreline. The Irish Course hosted the US Senior Open in 2007 and is a celebrated championship layout in its own right.
