Hawkswood House & The Roundel are two exclusive use 5 star properties set in the picturesque hamlet of Peat Inn, just a few miles from St Andrews. Beautifully appointed and sumptuously equipped to appeal to the most discerning of guests and the perfect venue for a golfing group. As soon as guests arrive at Hawkswood House and The Roundel they know they are somewhere special from the great care and attention to detail by the Owners in the design of such as lovely property. We offer 5 luxury en-suite bedrooms with the flexibility of being double or twin accommodation. Hawkswood House has two glorious reception rooms with log burners, a conservatory with dining facilities and French windows lead out to the summer terrace. On the first floor the terraced balcony provides the perfect setting for breakfast or evening drinks in the warmer months. The Roundel has also two reception rooms one feature room being the Roundel room itself which can accommodate dining for larger parties. Both properties come with top of the range kitchens for parties who wish to self-cater or our team will arrange for all staffing requirements to a private Chef catering for breakfast and dinner. At Hawkswood House and The Roundel we cater for the golfer. So, in order to improve your short game skills, before visiting one of the great golf courses in nearby St Andrews, we have built your very own Short Game Areas private to each house in our grounds.  Our Short Game Areas were designed and built by a golf professional, to provide the perfect practice area for honing your short game. Hawkswood House has 5 pitching mats, 6 holes and two bunkers, providing a wide range of lies and distances. The Roundel has 3 pitching mats, 9 holes and two bunkers.  This offers the opportunity to practice a variety of shots on your very own private practice area. We are also delighted to offer our private 250 yard driving range on the Estate for all guests to use. Unwind in our Hydro Spa, with room for all. It offers 43 state-of-the-art jets that relieve-tension in targeted areas including your back, neck, shoulders and calves by cascading up and down your back, a perfect way to relax and unwind. Both properties have their own Hydro Spa. The renowned restaurant at Peat Inn is within a short distance and an array of dining options in St Andrews which the team can assist in booking. Also enjoy dining al fresco with our impressive Mediterranean BBQ and outdoor patio area.
