Introduction to Al Ain

Al Ain, also known as the Garden City due to its greenery, is the second largest city in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the fourth largest city in the United Arab Emirates and is home to the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club. Located inland, close to the border with Oman, it is conveniently located 90 minutes from both Dubai and Abu Dhabi International Airports.

Al Ain is developing as a tourist destination. The dry desert air makes it a welcome retreat from the coastal humidity of the larger cities. Its attractions include the Al Ain National Museum, the Al Ain Palace Museum, several restored forts and the Hili Archaeological Park site, dating back to the Bronze Age. Jebel Hafeet, a 1340 meter high mountain, dominates the surrounding area. It is popular to visit to the mineral springs at the base and to drive to the mountaintop at sunset. Other attractions include the Al Ain Oasis, Al Ain Zoo or the Wadi Adventure as well as a number of large shopping malls located around the city.

Introduction to the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club

Al Ain is also home to the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club. As the name suggest there are a variety of different activates inside the resort, including the Equestrian Center and Horse Race Track, the Olympic standard Shooting Center, The Rugby Club and leisure facilities and Cricket Club along with its range of dining outlets.

The Golf Club, comprises of its 18 hole Championship Course, Golf Academy including its 9 hole par 3, Executive Course, Clubhouse and Restaurant.

The 9 hole par 3 Executive Course, again like the back 9 on the Championship Course is fully floodlit along with the whole of the Academy.

--- AESGC Academy ---

The AESGC is also home to arguably the best Academy facilities in the UAE. Its comprises of two 40 bay grass tees (players hit shots from the grass tee all year round, no mats), 3 separate dedicated short game area with putting, chipping and pitching greens as well as greenside and fairway bunkers.

Next to the Academy is our Executive Course, with all its holes measuring around 100 yards. This was built to mimic a shorter version of our main course and has the same high level of maintenance, giving golfers a fantastic alternative to the Championship Course.

The Golf Clubhouse is home to the Palm Greens Restaurant, Locker Room facilities, Golf Reception and also our fully stocked Golf Shop.

The Golf Clubhouse is also home to our fully stocked Golf Shop. Offering the latest equipment, apparel and accessories from the world’s leading manufacturers, the Golf Shop is the perfect place to find what you are looking for, from a personalized gift set to a full set of clubs.

The Palm Greens Restaurant located in the golf clubhouse is an ideal setting for that relaxing drink or meal either before or after the golf round and boasts panoramic views of the golf course as well as the horse race track.

The Restaurant takes pride on serving traditional Friday lunch buffets, as well as theme nights throughout the week, with a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and impeccable food this is the place to be and it is no wonder the Restaurant is one of the most sought after dining experiences here in Al Ain.
