Life can be... just splendid. Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden is ideally located in Caniço on the Island of Madeira. The estate is set in 30.000 square meters of landscaped botanical gardens with over 1.000 species of different plants, tempting the guests to take a walk and relax. The main building is a restored 19th century Manor House, rich in antiquities and paintings. From the outdoor pool, you can enjoy fantastic views across the Atlantic to the nearby nature reserve Ilhas Desertas. The accomodation has a total of 166 rooms, with 5 different accommodation types. Due to perfect design and natural beauty, the Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden has been given the "Golden Estrelicia" award by the Madeiran government Quinta Splendida Spa The Quinta Splendida Spa is set within a 1.400 square meter area and providing a high quality service to the guests. It includes all modern facilities such as sauna, jacuzzi, turkish bath, ice igloo, indoor heated swimming pool, fitness area, softpack, sensation shower and a heated stone bed relaxation room. The Spa offers a treatment menu with a wide range of massages and therapies, which is continuously extended and enhanced. Accommodation Quinta Splendida Wellness & Botanical Garden has a total of 166 rooms, with 5 different accommodation types: standard twin room, studio, apartments (1 or 2 bedrooms) and 25 Spa Suites. All apartments and studios offer a kitchenette, private facilities, hairdryer, telephone, Sat-TV, rental safe, balcony or patio terrace with either sea view or garden view. Twin rooms and Spa Suites offer a minibar instead of the kitchenette. Guests staying at the Spa Suites have full complimentary access to the Quinta Splendia Spa facilities (excluding treatments). Food & Beverage In the old manor house our guests will find the gourmet restaurant La Perla with an exquisite international cuisine which uses mainly organically grown vegetables and herbs from the surrounding gardens. The restaurant Galeria offers a generous breakfast buffet, italian and portuguese specialities, noodles, pizza and fish, as well as homemade pastry. The Thai Lounge complements the holistic well-being offered by the Spa and Wellness facility. The outdoor bar Siddhartha in trendy design with turquoise blue colors is located near the pool overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and serves a full range of health food, salads, pasta dishes and a variety of drinks, coffee, tea, juices. shakes and smoothies. The Globe cocktail and evening bar at the upper end of the pool offers an extensive drinks menu and regular live music. Golf The temperate Madeira climate is excellent for all year round golf. Quinta Splendida offers reduced greenfee rates and reservations of tee-off times. Our golf service includes storage of golf clubs and complimentary cleaning of golf shoes. We have great experience with golf groups and hosted in previous years the final of the Handelsblatt German Business Masters. Both Palheiro Golf and Santo da Serra Golf are within easy driving distance of Quinta Splendida. Porto Santo Golf is located on the charming neighboring island and can easily be reached by ferry or by plane. Additional services There is a 24-hour reception service and Portuguese, English, German and French speaking staff, plus an art gallery, meeting facilities, library, public internet point and area with wifi internet access free of charge. At an additional charge make use of the rent-a-car, laundry and parking services.
