The Els Club Malaysia is the third Els Club in the world, following The Els Copperleaf South Africa and The Els Club Dubai. Located in two stunning destinations in Peninsular Malaysia, Desaru Coast is home to the 45-hole championship Ocean Course and Valley Course while the island of Langkawi is home to the Rainforest Course in Teluk Datai. The Els Club Desaru Coast - Ocean Course The stunning 27-hole Ocean Course, designed by the club’s namesake and four-time major champion Ernie Els, overlooks the breath-taking South China Sea. The Ocean Course comprises three 9-hole courses, namely Coast, Lakes and Ridge Course, offering individual variability. Recently awarded as Malaysia’s Best Golf Course 2022 by World Golf Award, together was announced as Top-3 of Best Course in Malaysia and Best Clubhouse in Asia Pacific by Asian Golf Award; each course layout has its unique character and personal touches by Els; while drawing similar inspiration from the famous links courses spread across the UK with vast rolling greens and tight run-off areas designed to place a premium on a sharp short game. To top it off, this golf course also equipped with a world class golf academy namely the Els Performance Golf Academy. The Els Club Desaru Coast - Valley Course On the other hand, the multi-award-winning Valley Course is a perplexing 18-hole golf course designed by Els’ close associate and major golf champion, Vijay Singh, along with the Ernie Els Design team. The Valley Course traverses the valleys and stream of Desaru Coast with significant elevation changes, providing picturesque sceneries. This championship course spans 41 hectares with 187 bunkers, enabling a challenging and rewarding feat.
