About Golf della Montecchia
One of the few 27-hole complexes in north-east Italy, Golf della Montecchia unfolds across 820,000 square metres of a storied estate surrounding the ancient castle of the Emo Capodilista noble family, just minutes from the art city of Padua. Designed by English architect Tom Macauley to a modern pattern, the course presents a technique-intensive examination of the game that rewards both the accomplished player and the developing one. Water is a recurring and dramatic protagonist — most memorably at the par-3 7th, where 165 metres of carry over an expanse of water surrounds both the hole and virtually the entire green. The three nine-hole loops — White, Red, and Yellow — offer a wealth of combination play, while an innovative drainage system ensures the course remains in play throughout the year. A venue of genuine pedigree, Golf della Montecchia has hosted multiple editions of both the Challenge Tour and the Alps Tour, and in 2024 received the prestigious International Environmental Golf Club of the Year award at the BIGGA Conference Show in Harrogate. Architect: Tom Macauley. 27 holes.
