About Albarella Golf Club
Albarella Island Is a unique private Island with an 18 holes golf course, in Italy, at 70Km south of Venice. The style of classic British course on the amazing background of the Venetian lagoon. Realized by the English architect Harris, the "sea-links" course offers 18 holes sourrounded by a breath-taking natural environment, thus representing a preferred destination for a top level international guests. The course covers an area of over 170 acres for a total playing yardage of 6.703 yards, features several water and sand hazards that challenge the player's skill with dunes, lakes and wild sea buckthorn plants. Sometimes the wind may represent an additional challenge for the player, compromising the ball's trajectory, but normally the voice of the wind comes from the waves that break on the beach sourrounding a large part of the course.
In the last years, Albarella Golf Links hosted several prestigious events, like the International Italian Open and the "5th BMW Ladies Open", which also thanks to the particularly rich prizes, attracted the best international ladies players. Albarella Golf Club also hosted 17 editions of the PGAI tournement, with the partecipation of the most popular Italian pros.
