SAN DOMENICO GOLF
Embraced by dozens of century-old olive trees and the crystal blue Adriatic sea, San Domenico Golf lies close to the small fishing village of Savelletri and is a classic Mediterranean links course deemed among the best in Italy.
Designed by architect Andy Haggar and built by London’s European Golf Design complying to the highest standards of the USGA specifications, the 18-hole course is spread over 6,300 m and has a par of 72. It is made special by the distinctive scents and colours of the local Mediterranean Maquis and, not only the blue horizon embellishes this place, with every hole, green and fairway providing a spectacular view onto the sea, but wind also constantly blows, playing a significant role during gameplay. This is Mediterranean golf at its finest.
San Domenico Golf was opened in 2003 and, true to his founder Sergio Melpignano’s successful dream of bringing high end golf to Puglia, it has hosted a wealth of major national and international professional tournaments, such as the Grand Final of the European Challenge Tour, while many famous players and golf stars have played here, including Martin Kaymer, Alvaro Quiros and Rafa Cabrera Bello.

BORGO EGNAZIA: NOWHERE ELSE
Entirely made in rough limestone, wood and Mediterranean flora, Borgo Egnazia was conceived by architect/designer Pino Brescia as a contemporary, visionary and bold reinterpretation of an ancient Apulian small town, or a "borgo" as they say in Italy, its nonpareil architecture embodying the simplicity, beauty and rustic authenticity of Puglia. It provides many kinds of accommodation, different in scope and size, but all conceived as an harmonious blend of tradition and innovation. Far from a resort, Borgo Egnazia embodies a brand new concept of hospitality based on local, authentic “Nowhere Else” experiences and provides a wealth of facilities such the multi-awarded Vair spa, many different food experiences (including the Due Camini gourmet restaurant), two beach clubs, teens/kids club, Academies, and a peerless number of activities. All of this is immersed in the breath taking scenario of the Apulian land, with its shimmering coastline, an amazing countryside with century-old olive groves and many art and cultural treasures, such as the UNESCO World Heritage town of Alberobello and Ostuni, the mesmerizing “White Town”.
