About Brittas Bay Club
Formerly The European, is one of Ireland’s most dramatic and highly regarded championship Links courses. Located on the coastline of County Wicklow, it sits among huge natural sand dunes overlooking the Irish Sea, giving it a raw, rugged setting typical of classic Irish links golf. The course was originally designed by Irish golf architect Pat Ruddy, and is currently being significantly redeveloped by designer Kyle Phillips to enhance playability and refine the routing. It is a true seaside links course, built entirely on natural dune land and exposed to constant coastal winds which strongly influence play. Wide, rumpled fairways that reward creative shot-making and ground play. Deep, traditional-style bunkering and firm, fast conditions. The landscape is wild and open, with the Irish Sea constantly in sight, creating a very natural and challenging golfing environment. The course is due to reopen in May 2027
