Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort

Designed by Tom Craddock & Pat Ruddy, it is the culmination of years of preparation, hard work and a commitment on the part of the owners of Druids Glen to creating a unique inland golf course - one which challenges and satisfies in equal parts.

The owners and designers were greatly aided by their chosen location, four hundred acres of gently-rolling, wooded countryside in one of Ireland's most beautiful counties. Golfing perfection was achieved whilst remaining faithful to the graceful maturity of the original estate and its wildlife.

From the first tee to the eighteenth green - 7000 yards in all - each of Druids Glen's holes presents its own individual appeal, combining to produce a golfing experience like no other in Ireland, an experience which attracts the most enthusiastic golfers from throughout Ireland and throughout the world.

It was no surprise that Druids Glen was chosen as the venue for the 1996 Murphy's Irish Open. So successful was the tournament that Druids Glen has been chosen to host the Irish Open for four consecutive years from the 1996 to 1999. The leading professional players regard the course as the most challenging on the European Tour.

Individual and corporate members, of course, enjoy generous reserved tee times. Visitors are very welcome, with the provision that they allow plenty of time for pre booking. There is a practice area - including three full length 'academy holes' - giving players the chance to prepare for the pleasures ahead.

Neither words nor pictures can do true justice to Druids Glen. The only satisfactory way to experience its unique ambience is to envelop yourself in its surroundings.
