Westport Golf Club

One of the top parkland courses in the west of Ireland. Located just outside Westport, on a scenic elevated site overlooking Clew Bay. Designed by renowned architect Fred Hawtree, it is a long and demanding test of golf, especially for strong hitters. The course sits in rolling countryside at the foot of Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, with sweeping views across Clew Bay and its many Islands. The layout is known for being varied and challenging – it features five par-5 holes, several water hazards and a mix of inland parkland holes and more exposed wind-affected sections. Westport has also hosted major tournaments including the Irish Amateur and PGA events, which reflects its reputation as one of Ireland’s stronger inland championship courses
