Ballyliffin Golf Club – Glashedy Links

Home to two outstanding championship Links Courses, the Old Course and Glashedy. Set on the Inishowen peninsula, surrounded by dunes, hills and the Atlantic Ocean, it is Ireland’s most northerly golf club. The Old Course is a traditional, old-style Links, full of character and natural movement. The terrain “twists and tumbles in every direction” creating quirky lies, blind shots and constantly changing angles. It is more playable and forgiving than its sister course and where imagination and shot-making matter more than power. The Glashedy Course was designed by Pat Ruddy & Tom Craddock and is a modern championship course. It is more demanding of the two as it plays through a vast dune system with dramatic elevaton changes with views of Glashedy Rockoffshore. The course is long with demanding par-4’s and strong par-5’s, deep pot bunkers that heavily penalise mistakes. It also hosted the Irish Open 2018 making it a tough, world-class championship Links with scale, drama and difficulty
