Old Head Golf Links occupies one of the most dramatic and singular positions in the history of golf course architecture — a 220-acre kite-shaped promontory of solid rock jutting into the Celtic Sea on the southern coast of County Cork, where sheer cliffs drop as far as 300 feet to the ocean below.
