Château des Vigiers won the France's best hotel award at the World Golf Award ceremony 2015 Château des Vigiers forms the centre-piece of a spectacular 27-hole golf course. The course opened in 1992 and was designed by Donald Steel, who is considered one of the very best “natural” golf course architects. Arranged in three 9-hole loops, giving three 18-hole combinations, our golf course was rated in the top ten courses in South West France. Other golf facilities include a 6-hole academy course, a covered driving range, practice greens and bunkers as well as resident golf Professionals, making Vigiers an ideal place to begin or improve your game.

Situated in the East Wing of the Chateau – Restaurant “Les Fresques” is distinguishable by its elaborate cuisine made using only the freshest local and seasonal produce. The menu is redesigned each week and new dishes – as well traditional favourites – can’t fail to impress even the most discerning palate.

Our Executive Chef, Didier Casaguana and his team of chefs will prepare your dishes with passion, demonstrating the highest standards of French cuisine, fusing seasonal produce such as spring lamb, fresh fish, oysters and shellfish with regional specialities such as truffles, to great effect. Our extensive wine cellar contains some of the finest wines in the Dordogne as well as many affordable vintages.

Inside Restaurant “Les Fresques”, the enchanting and elegant decor has wall frescos, warm shades and picture windows which evoke an inviting and intimate atmosphere. On balmy summer evenings, dine “Al fresco” on the terrace and experience wonderful views across the lake and vineyards.

Insade, the restaurant's vast vaulted ceiling and warm open fire portray rural charm. Outside, the elevated terrace is perfect for dining in peace and tranquility, surrounded by views of the lake, parkland and Château.

We serve famour regional specialities such as Magret de Canard, Confit and home-made Foie Gras, as well as lighter lunches, all in a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

NEW SPA by SOTHYS !

Château des Vigiers is a 4 star complex with 2 hotels, a brasserie, a Michelin starred gourmet restaurant “Les Fresques », a 27-hole golf course as well as a Spa in the heart of the Périgord-Dordogne region, South West of France.

The Spa was created with the aim to satisfy our clientele for them to have somewhere to relax and enjoy body and facial treatments as well as being able to dine in style and play golf. Before being renovated the Spa offered a hammam, sauna, 2 beauty cabins and a jacuzzi.

In 2017 Château des Vigiers launched a new renovation and extension project to the existing Spa. This project required a large investment on behalf of the shareholders so as to be able to offer a new structure with improved services.

The work was carried out during 6 months of which the biggest part was installing the 12 seater hydrotherapy pool. Today, our Spa offers 3 beauty cabins including a double cabin, a jacuzzi, sauna and pool. These changes were inaugurated with the arrival of our new cosmetic brand: SOTHYS. We decided to enter into a new partnership with the renowned cosmetic brand, SOTHYS, which originates from South West France, just under 2 hours drive away from Château des Vigiers. SOTHYS reputed products adapt to all clientele requests: facial, body, for men and women, but also guest contact products for the hotel rooms. The Spa architecture and interior-design has been completely redesigned with natural soft colors and an area to offer a true moment of relaxation for our clients.
