About San Andrés Golf Club
One of Colombia's oldest and most historically significant clubs, founded in 1945 in Funza, west of Bogotá. Designed by Stanley Thompson — one of North America's most important golf architects — the course is built on a links-inspired concept: wide, relatively flat fairways, greens protected by strategically placed bunkers, and a routing that emphasises shot control and ground play over aerial bombardment. The front nine features three par-3s and three par-5s; the back nine introduces more water hazards adding complexity and risk on key approach shots. High altitude (2,600 m) — ball travels 10–15% further. Caddie mandatory.
