The Green Monkey at Sandy Lane is widely regarded as the most expensive golf course ever built, constructed at a reported cost of over USD 150 million. Designed by Tom Fazio and opened in 2004, the course is carved from a spectacular ancient coral quarry in the heart of the Sandy Lane estate in Barbados.
