Golf travel pricing guides that say "it depends" are useless. Here are real numbers — by destination, trip length, and travel style — so you can actually budget your trip before you start planning.
All prices are per-person estimates for a 7-night trip from the US East Coast, based on 2026 rates. They include flights, accommodation, 5 rounds of golf, and transfers, but exclude meals and incidentals.

What Moves the Price Most
Course selection
The single biggest variable. Five rounds at mid-range Costa del Sol courses ($80–$120 each) costs $400–$600 in green fees. Five rounds including Valderrama or La Reserva costs $1,200–$1,800+ in green fees alone.
Accommodation category
The difference between a 4-star resort ($250/night) and a 5-star property like Finca Cortesin ($800+/night) over 7 nights is $3,850 per person — the single largest budget swing available.
Flight timing and class
Business class to Spain from New York adds $3,000–$5,000+ per person over economy. Economy seats booked 3–4 months ahead average $600–$900. Business class starts at $3,500+ for transatlantic routes.
Group size
Groups of 8+ typically qualify for preferential rates on accommodation, transfers, and sometimes green fees. A group of 12 can bring individual costs down 15–25% versus individual bookings.
Season
Peak season (spring in Spain, summer in Scotland) commands 20–40% premiums on accommodation. Off-season (January–February in Andalusia, November in Scotland) offers the same courses at significantly lower prices.
What Does DGE Golf Cost?
Our planning fee starts at $450 per person. That covers the full trip design — AI-generated itinerary concept, concierge review and refinement, course booking, accommodation coordination, transfer planning, and support throughout the trip.
On a 7-night trip with 5 rounds of golf, $450 per person is typically less than one round of golf at a marquee course. Whether that's worth it depends on the complexity of your trip and the value of your time.
For straightforward trips, it may not be necessary. For complex multi-destination itineraries, group trips, or any trip involving courses that are difficult to book directly, specialists consistently save clients more than the fee costs.
